Match Anker SOLIX C1000 and Jackery 1000 by similar watt-hours first — not by the logo. Explorer 1000 v2 often costs less and weighs a little less; C1000 Gen 2 often prints more continuous watts and more solar. Both sell LiFePO4 here. If you want a second battery later, skip Gen 2 and open the expandable C1000 next to Explorer 1000 Plus.
Put the Anker SOLIX C1000 Gen 2ModelAnker SOLIX C1000 Gen 28.8 / 101,024 Wh · 2,000 W · 24.9 lb · 11.29 kg · $699.99 next to the Jackery Explorer 1000 v2ModelJackery Explorer 1000 v28.9 / 101,070 Wh · 1,500 W · 23.8 lb · 10.8 kg · $559.00. Both sit near 1,000 watt-hours. On 2026-10-31 the Gen 2 was $699.99 and the Explorer was $559 — about $141 apart. Anker lists 2,000 W continuous and 600 W solar against 1,500 W and 400 W on the Jackery. The Jackery is 23.8 lb against 24.9 lb, and that pound is what you feel when you lift it.
Anker SOLIX C1000 Gen 2 or Jackery Explorer 1000 v2?
If the box has to ride in the trunk, this is the pair. Price and a pound favor the Jackery; continuous watts and solar favor the Anker. UPS prints under 10 ms on Gen 2 and under 20 ms on the Explorer — either is fine for a laptop or a router, not a claim that one “has UPS” and the other does not.
OutdoorGearLab usable AC sits close: about 890 Wh on the Gen 2 and about 910 Wh on the Explorer. That is not the decision. Continuous watts are — and OutdoorGearLab lists 1,800 W AC for the Gen 2 while Anker prints 2,000 W, so treat the higher ceiling as a brand claim on the model page. Gen 2’s cycle line is a bare 4,000; the Explorer prints 4,000 to 70%+. Prefer the claim that keeps the percent.

Should I buy the expandable Anker C1000 or Jackery Explorer 1000 Plus instead?
Only if you actually want room for a second battery. Gen 2 does not take an add-on battery on our page. The Anker SOLIX C1000ModelAnker SOLIX C1000 (expandable)8.9 / 101,056 Wh · 1,800 W · 28.4 lb · 12.88 kg · $599.99 lists 1,056 Wh, 1,800 W continuous, 28.4 lb, solar up to 600 W, and an add-on battery, at $599.99 (2026-10-31); UPS time and cycle life are blank on our page. The Jackery Explorer 1000 PlusModelJackery Explorer 1000 Plus8.9 / 101,264 Wh · 2,000 W · 32 lb · 14.51 kg · $619.00 lists 1,264 Wh, 2,000 W, 32 lb, UPS under 20 ms, solar up to 800 W, 4,000 cycles to 70%+, and an add-on battery, at $619 the same day — about $20 more for about 208 Wh more on the label.
So the Plus brings more stored energy, more continuous watts, and more solar input out of the box. The Anker C1000 is about three and a half pounds lighter. OutdoorGearLab usable AC is about 993 Wh on the C1000 and about 1,068 Wh on the Plus. A blank UPS or cycle line on our C1000 page is missing data — not the same as “no.”

What should I check before I buy?
- Sealed or expandable. Gen 2 vs Explorer 1000 v2 if you will not add a battery; expandable C1000 vs Explorer 1000 Plus if you may.
- What you pay, lift, and can pull. Explorer 1000 v2 often undercuts on price and pounds; Gen 2 often prints more continuous watts and more solar.
- Cycle percent and the Gen 2 watt note. Prefer a percent beside the cycle count. OutdoorGearLab lists 1,800 W AC for Gen 2 while Anker prints 2,000 W — read both.
Questions
Anker SOLIX C1000 Gen 2 or Jackery Explorer 1000 v2?
Both sit near 1,000 Wh. Gen 2 lists 2,000 W, 24.9 lb, solar up to 600 W, UPS under 10 ms, a bare 4,000 cycles, and $699.99 (2026-10-31). Explorer 1000 v2 lists 1,500 W, 23.8 lb, solar up to 400 W, UPS under 20 ms, 4,000 cycles to 70%+, and $559 the same day. Need the higher continuous watts or more solar — open Gen 2. Need the lower list price and the lighter lift — open the Explorer. OutdoorGearLab usable AC is about 890 Wh vs about 910 Wh; it also lists 1,800 W AC for the Gen 2 while Anker prints 2,000 W.
Expandable Anker C1000 or Jackery Explorer 1000 Plus?
Both take an add-on battery. C1000 lists 1,056 Wh, 1,800 W, 28.4 lb, solar up to 600 W, $599.99, with UPS and cycle blank on our page (2026-10-31). Explorer 1000 Plus lists 1,264 Wh, 2,000 W, 32 lb, solar up to 800 W, UPS under 20 ms, 4,000 cycles to 70%+, and $619 the same day. More watt-hours, watts, and solar on the Jackery; fewer pounds on the Anker. A blank on our C1000 page is missing data — not “no UPS.”
Do both use LiFePO4?
Yes on the Anker SOLIX C1000, C1000 Gen 2, Explorer 1000 v2, and Explorer 1000 Plus models named here. Chemistry is not the split you feel — watt-hours, watts, weight, price, solar input, a second battery, and the cycle claim are.
Updated 2026-11-03. Specs, UPS times, cycle claims, and list prices come from the model pages (checks on 2026-10-31 as noted). OutdoorGearLab usable-AC and watt figures are cited where a model page records them. We have not re-timed switchover or re-weighed units. If a number looks wrong, write through About.
